What is Bad Dream Sprinkles?
Bad Dream Sprinkles is a 100% natural remedy formulated especially for toddlers and children by a Clinical Psychologist. The remedy contains a combination of gentle yet effective herbal ingredients traditionally used to provide night time comfort and promote healthy sleep pattterns. Bad Dream Sprinkles may be used in the middle of the night, as well as preventatively.

- Aconite (30C) is a remedy that is traditionally used to when help is immediately needed. Aconite is particularly effective when taken at the sudden onset of the distress.
- Kali. Phos. (6C) is a biochemic tissue salt well known for its positive benefits on the nervous system.
- Nat. Sulph. (6C) is another gentle yet effective biochemic tissue salt, especially suited to children, helping to promote natural feelings of security and well-being.
- Passiflora Incarnata (Passion Flower) is a herbal remedy used for many centuries and is a natural nervous system tonic safe for all ages.
- Matricaria Recutita (Chamomile) has been used since the time of the Ancient Egyptians as a relaxing nervous system tonic that promotes healthy, restful sleep patterns. Chamomile is a particularly useful herb for night time use. How do I use Bad Dream Sprinkles?
DIRECTIONS
Acute: Sprinkle a generous pinch onto the tongue when needed. May be repeated in 10 - 15 minutes if necessary.
Preventative: Sprinkle a generous pinch onto the tongue before bedtime. May be repeated during the night if necessary.
CAUTION
Safety during pregnancy and nursing has not been established. Not recommended for children under 6 months.
How long until I see results?
The soothing and calming effect on your child should be noticed within minutes. Children using Bad Dream Sprinkles preventatively should experience a gradual improvement, due to the tonic effect of Bad Dream Sprinkles and its promotion of healthy sleep patterns.
How long will a bottle last?
Bad Dream Sprinkles comes in a 20g bottle of fine granules and contains approximately 135 doses. With daily use one bottle should last approximately 2 months. Exactly how long a bottle lasts will depend on the frequency of use.

Full Spectrum Method vs. 'Standardized' Extracts
You may have heard the term 'standardized' extract used in relation to herbal remedies, but do you know what this means?
Many pharmaceutical companies have begun manufacturing herbal remedies using a process of extraction whereby harsh chemicals are employed to extract the active ingredients of medicinal herbs.
You will recognize these extracts by the usage of the words 'standardized' extract on the labels. This method of manufacturing is often cited as being more scientific and able to produce a superior product with controlled and guaranteed amounts of active ingredients in each product.
Contrary to these claims, this process is not approved by the manufacturers of holistic medicines. One of the reasons is that the process of extracting so-called 'active ingredients' and isolating them from the rest of the herb is one that has resulted in an increase in side effects, as the herb in this way loses its natural ability to protect against side effects.
In addition, many manufacturers use all parts of the plants to create standardized extracts, whereas herbalists know that only certain parts of some herbs should be used.
In the case of Ginkgo Biloba, for example, it is well known that the seeds of this plant are poisonous and can cause seizures and that only the leaves should be used. Standardized extracts of Ginkgo Biloba have been associated with the risk of seizure in some trials.
The most recent example of the dangers of using this manufacturing process includes the development of liver toxicity from using Kava Kava extract, an herb which has been safely used for hundreds of years!
It must also be added that this process of extraction requires the use of harsh chemicals and solvents, traces of which are difficult to remove completely from the final product.
To us, it makes little sense for companies to go the natural route, while being unable to guarantee that their product is free of contamination with chemicals known to be harmful to health!
Unlike many so-called natural remedies manufactured according to the methods described above, at Native Remedies, we avoid standardized extracts completely and use the Full Spectrum method of extraction, which is recommended by all the authoritative Materia Medica dealing with herbal medicine.
